Item: This is a green bakelite sewing kit for purse or travel made circa 1940. This opens up to reveal a pointed spool on which to wind whatever colors of thread you want to take with you. The spool's top unscrews as well revealing a space for a couple needles. The top of the case can be used as a thimble and the base can be used as a sock darning "egg". A practical piece for the stylish traveler.
