White, J.J. - 1896 - 1970s?
One of many jewelry manufacturers out of Providence Rhode Island, this company started manufacturing jewelry just prior to the 20th Century. They had a lovely line of fine jewelry as well as a costume line. The company used a W inside a triangle cartouche to hallmark much of their jewelry but also used an H in between two traingles for Helgen Mfg. Co. on other pieces. White often used open backed jewels - sometimes glass and sometimes semiprecious stones, synthetic gemstones and gold filled settings in their line of costume jewelry. Always great quality very lovely collectible designs. They have a 1933 patent pertaining to the manufacture of pierced filigree bracelets filed under the name Edward L Weed.
