Item: This is a vintage oval locket made circa 1925. The bail is marked Alpaka which is another word for nickel. This snaps together very securely and is admittedly a little hard to open. It has an enameled rose at the top and nice Art Deco decoration around the edges. There are two frames and glassine windows inside to secure and protect your pictures and unusually there is etched floral decoration on the inside rim as well. The chain is a 1980s Italian sterling silver replacement.
