Item: This is an antique gold filled cameo necklace made circa 1885. The pendant is hung from a classic book chain with some nice detailing. The center cameo is surrounded by 6 garnets on one side and 2 on the other. This may or may not have had some significance ( perhaps a mother of 8 or given on an 8th wedding anniversary ) or perhaps just a design choice.

Measurements: 19" circumference, Pendant - 1 3/8" drop
