Item: This is a pair of ballet dancer brooches with blue glass cabochons made by Trifari in the early 1950s. Designer Alfred Philippe pattented this design in 1950. The "Petalettes" as the pair was called were available in 3 different colors and are one of the better known and collected figural brooches of the mid-century.
