Item: This is a fun birds in flight brooch made in Demark in the 1950's. It has mostly white enameling on the front and has some striping which corresponds with the colors of the Nordic flags. This was designed by Erik Magnussen who was an important Scandinavian silversmith / designer who worked for a period in the US for Gorham and returning to Demark to start his own company.
