Item: This is an antique coin silver Heart In Hand ring with gold overlay top. The ring is marked COIN which indicates it was forged from coin silver. The Heart In Hand symbol has multiple origins. In Shaker tradition it symbolizes the idea of "hands to work and hearts to God". The symbol was also adopted by the fraternal Order of the Oddfellows. The three links under the hand represent friendship, love, and truth. Other meanings can be derived from the symbol including charity, welcome and more literally something given from the heart.
