Item: This is a great suit made in the 1950's for Meier & Frank - a local Portland department store that eventually was taken over by Macy's. The material is either linen or a rayon blend - shantung in texture. This is trimmed with blue accents at the collar and the cuffs and the buttons are all mother of pearl.

Label: Meier & Frank (Portland's local department store - now Macy's)

Measurements: Across the chest the jacket measures 19" wide from underarm to underarm, 16" from shoulder to shoulder and 25" long from top of the collar to the waist. The skirt measures 28" at the waist, 19" wide at the hips and 29" long from waist to hem. The skirt and the jacket are both unlined. Like so many suits of this era the jacket and skirt seem a bit disproportionate. The skirt is about a size 8 and the jacket about a 10.

Sale Price: Sold!

Condition: 9.5 - excellent, no holes, rips or odors. There are couple very small light stains and being a light fabric shows some dust which should clean out easily.
